Hurricane Idalia

The church office will follow the closing schedules of the Polk County Schools. If schools are closed, the office will be closed and Pastor and Sara will be working from home.

Accordingly, at this time we plan to be closed to all activities Tuesday afternoon and all day Wednesday and Thursday.

We are all anxiously watching the weather reports as Hurricane Idalia poses a threat to the Tampa Bay Area and to Polk County as well. As I write this we are under a Tropical Storm Warning (more certainty than a "Watch"), as the cone does appear to bring the storm north of us, though we know that can change quickly.

That said, I hope that you are in the process of making preparations in the event that the weather conditions are more severe than we anticipate at this time. Please continue checking with Polk County officials for the latest updates. If you have specific issues that you need church to help with, please let Pastor Pam know as soon as possible

Please join in prayer with Pastor:

Eternal God, amid the storms and dangers of our world, your love is steadfast and your strength never fails. In this time of danger, be to us a sure guardian and rock of defense. Guide the leaders of our community with your wisdom, comfort those in distress, and grant us courage and hope in this time of storm; through Jesus Christ, our Savior and Lord. Amen.
