This week we bid Farewell and Godspeed to this year's Music Interns. All three are graduating this month. Ben and Lexi will be moving to pursue further education while Sophia Grace will be returning in the fall for graduate studies.
We can't say enough about how much they've contributed to our worship with their participation in choir, worship band, and other attendance. Lovely voices, energetic attitudes, always willing to help. They have also facilitated our connection with the FSC student body, and participated in our fellowship activities.
Grace's Music Intern Program for Florida Southern College students was started a few years ago with a dual purpose in mind. In the short term it enhances our music program with the addition of talented music students, and allows them exposure to traditional sacred music, contemporary Christian music, and directing and managing a choir. We pray this will help them in their church life after graduation. This program is also a long term investment in the future of church music and musicians for future congregations.
