On Saturday December 6, the Council of Grace Lutheran Church met for a retreat and planning session on the Florida Southern campus in Lakeland They reflected on Acts 16:6–15 using the “Dwelling in God’s Word” practice and discussed the video "How Things Have Changed" from the Greater Milwaukee Synod. The council also engaged in a Strategic Planning Focus, reviewing the mission statement and reflecting on the church’s engagement through a SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats) analysis. In addition, they worked on setting objectives for future ministry. The gathering, which was both inspiring and productive, was facilitated by Pr. Olga María Cruz, the local pastor, and Pr. Carlos Ham, Director for Evangelical Mission (South) and Assistant to the Bishop.
